Lori Hepner is a conceptually based photographer whose series Status Symbols is a new look at portraiture though individuals’ updates on Twitter. In addition to exhibiting at places such as the Carnegie Museum of Art, the Brooklyn Museum, Duke University, and Silver Eye Center for Photographer, Lori’s work has been published in Time Magazine’s Lightbox Blog, SPE’s Exposure Magazine, and PQ#99 from The Center for Photography at Woodstock. Internationally, Lori has shown at the 2011 Lishui International Photography Festival in Lishui, China, a traveling exhibition across Spain of 12 photographers from the 2010 PhotoEspaña Festival. Lori earned an MFA in Digital Media at RISD and a BFA in Fine Art Photography from Rochester Institute of Technology. She currently lives and works in Pittsburgh, PA where she is an Assistant Professor of Integrative Arts at Penn State University.
